Based in a spacious old magistrates court building, we provide creative learning activities and opportunities for learners of all ages. We specialise in creative arts, design technology and music.
Home educated children and families come to us for a range of group and individual creative arts, design technology, lanugage and music sessions. Parents and siblings are very welcome and regularly comment on the purposeful atmosphere.
We support students with or without formal SEN who require alternative education provision outside of school. Our environment is non institutional and our ethos is nurturing and purposeful. Our provision is firstly restorative of confidence and can develop into semi structured and structured individual learning programmes.
The vast majority of our provision is partial, e.g for two or three days a week alternating with school attendance. Students keep a daily diary of what activities they are doing and this can be used by the school to account for and monitor our provision. Schools managers visit from time to time and may also send support staff to attend with the student as appropriate.
This is an extension of our original club for children with ASD originally sponsored by Activities Unlimited.
